Description
TELUS Health is empowering every person to live their healthiest life. Guided by our vision, we are leveraging the power of our leading edge technology and focusing on the uniqueness of each individual to create the future of health. As a global-leading health and well-being provider – encompassing physical, mental and financial health – TELUS Health is improving health outcomes for consumers, patients, healthcare professionals, employers and employees. Our Team and What We'll Accomplish Together At TELUS Health, we're on a mission to deliver the most comprehensive and compassionate health experiences in the world — and our Proposal & Bid Management team plays a critical role in bringing that vision to life. We are a collaborative, high-performing group dedicated to crafting compelling, client-centred proposals that open doors to meaningful partnerships and drive growth across our health solutions portfolio. As a Proposal Writer, you will be a cornerstone of our proposal development engine — guiding bids from RFP receipt through to final submission. Together, we'll build persuasive, compliant, and strategically aligned proposals that reflect TELUS Health's commitment to innovation and excellence. You'll work alongside sales, subject matter experts, legal, finance, marketing, and HR to tell our story in a way that resonates with clients and wins business. What You'll Do Lead the end-to-end proposal development process — from RFP receipt and compliance assessment through to final submission via email, web portal, or hard copy. Develop high-quality, persuasive proposals in response to RFX and other solicitation documents, ensuring alignment with client needs and TELUS Health capabilities. Create proposal outlines, compliance matrices, templates, and identify boilerplate content and core qualification materials (resumes, biographies, project qualifications, certifications, references). Write bespoke answers to customer questions, weaving in win themes and ensuring written content is clear, accessible, and compelling. Manage daily proposal activities — tracking data calls, reviewing submissions, assigning responsibilities, and monitoring drafts to meet submission deadlines. Facilitate proposal review meetings (pink, red, gold), incorporating stakeholder feedback and ensuring compliance with RFX and WPO standards. Collaborate with SAM leads, SMEs, and corporate functions (Legal, Finance, HR, Marketing) to gather input, refine content, and develop win strategies. Conduct proposal close-out activities, lead debrief meetings, gather client feedback, and contribute lessons learned to support continuous improvement. What You Bring A Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Marketing, Business, or a related field — or 3+ years of equivalent professional experience. A minimum of 2 years of experience in proposal writing with a proven track record of managing multiple proposals simultaneously. Demonstrated experience collaborating with cross-functional subject matter experts and corporate stakeholders to develop technical and management content. Excellent writing and editing skills — you produce clear, concise, and persuasive content with strong attention to detail and the ability to meet tight deadlines. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), with an understanding of document design and marketing principles. Strong project management skills — you establish priorities, set target dates, and keep complex, multi-stakeholder processes on track. An even-tempered, solutions-oriented mindset that thrives in fast-paced, high-pressure environments with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills — you work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team, grounded in integrity and dependability. Great-to-Haves Proficiency in Spanish, Mandarin, or French Experience with proposal management software or CRM tools Background in healthcare, benefits, or technology sectors Familiarity with APMP (Association of Proposal Management Professionals) methodologies Graphic design or data visualization skills Experience leading formal colour review processes A bit about us We’re a people-focused, customer-first, purpose-driven team who works together every day to innovate and do good.
