KNOWLEDGE:

  • Microsoft Office Suite; Working knowledge of business-related software packages (i.e., MS Word, MS Excel, MS Access, MS PowerPoint, etc.); exposure to CRM systems preferred.
  • Design - Ability to read and interpret technical documentation pertaining to specifications of components and materials and computer aided design (CAD) drawings and specifications.
  • Technical – Knowledge of design principles within the Acoustics / Ventilation industry.
  • Customer and Personal Service — Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
  • Engineering and Technology — Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology. This includes applying principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment to the design and production of various goods and services.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

  • Occasional site visits with other members of the team

Responsibilities:

ARE YOU LOOKING FOR A PERMANENT PROPOSALS ENGINEER ROLE, WORKING FOR A STABLE, GROWING ENGINEERING COMPANY?

This role is responsible for developing technical solutions and preparing cost estimates for new equipment sales for Wakefield Acoustics. This role develops proposals in collaboration with other relevant members of the team and with our supply chain partners.

TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL NEED:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Acoustics / Engineering or equivalent industry experience preferred.
  • Ability to define weekly tasks as needed to meet management and customer expectations.
  • Ideally 1-2 or more years of related industry experience.
  • Knowledge of industrial equipment, specifically standby generators, industrial fans, blowers etc.
  • Experience or knowledge of Salesforce preferred.
  • Must demonstrate excellent presentation, communication, writing and facilitation skills.

THIS ROLE WILL FOCUS ON:

  • Review of customer specifications and enquiry documents
  • Technical calculations and product selection – training provided
  • Preparation of detailed cost estimates using company standard pricing matrix
  • Drafting of quotation letters, containing specific technical and commercial information relating to our product offering
  • Closely collaborates with engineering, design & drafting, supply chain partners or other sales resources as needed to develop proposals.
  • Responds to leads professionally and within the required timeframe to ensure customer satisfaction and improved lead conversion.
  • Performs other duties of a similar nature and level as assigned
  • Attend and participate in project handover meetings
