Responsibilities

THE ROLE

Wood is currently recruiting for a Proposals Manager - Western Hemisphere to join our team in our office based in Canada. The Proposal Manager role is a supervisory position. The individual in this role has overall responsibility and accountability for the proposals process and quality of proposals for their respective businesses. This role is typically assigned and responsible for a specific part of the business within their respective Business Units.

TYPICAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Promote Wood Solutions - Champion cross-selling of Wood’s services across all markets to drive growth and collaboration.
  • Lead Proposal Development - Own and manage the full lifecycle of proposal development, including planning, scheduling, resourcing, quality control, production, reviews, and compliance. This includes written proposals, oral presentations, Best and Final Offers, Evaluation Notices, and Final Proposal Revisions.
  • Strategic Proposal Leadership - Analyze RFP/RFQ/ITT requirements to ensure compliance and responsiveness. Develop capture plans and proposal strategies, facilitate strategy sessions, and define win themes and value propositions.
  • Governance & Best Practices - Ensure adherence to Wood’s Tender Governance Policy and proposal best practices, delivering client-specific, high-quality, and compelling proposals.
  • Team Management - Lead, coach, and evaluate Proposal Leads and Coordinators. Oversee workload allocation, performance reviews, and ensure quality and consistency in outputs.
  • Proposal Execution - Oversee and support the production of all proposal types and customer responses (e.g., prequalification’s, EOIs, presentations). Collaborate with capture managers, SMEs, and proposal teams to write, edit, review, and produce winning submissions.
  • Stakeholder Coordination - Interface with internal stakeholders including Wood management, Capture Managers, Technical Leads, Legal, Estimating, Commercial, and others to ensure alignment and timely delivery.
  • Content Development - Ensure customer requirements are met by sourcing, writing, and editing project summaries, resumes, and supporting proposal sections. Leverage archived proposal content where applicable.
  • Hands-On Proposal Support - Serve as Proposal Lead or Coordinator for strategic pursuits or high-priority opportunities. Responsibilities include
  • Assessing RFPs and evaluation criteria
  • Developing proposal management plans and schedules Leading kick-off and review meetings
  • Managing proposal processes and stakeholder deliverables
  • Ensuring branding and consistency
  • Preparing post-bid submissions and customer presentations
  • Conducting reviews and revisions throughout the proposal lifecycleFinalizing and submitting proposals per customer instructions
  • Overseeing graphic development for proposals
  • Resource Management - Organize and maintain proposal files, templates, and boilerplate content. Compile sales, marketing, and technical materials for proposal use.
  • Quality Assurance - Provide final oversight of all customer responses to ensure quality, compliance, and incorporation of best practices.
  • Budget Oversight - Manage proposal budgets and monitor spend where required.
  • CRM Support - Assist in maintaining CRM data during the proposal stage, including updates to pursuit status, revenue, workhours, and approval milestones. Support broader CRM reporting as needed.
  • Compliance - Adhere to Wood’s Code of Business Conduct, Anti-Bribery and Corruption policies, and all mandatory procedures.
  • On time delivery of complete, quality proposals
