We have an exciting opportunity for a Proposition Manager to join our Wealth, Insurance & Product Governance team. This is a permanent opportunity that can be based at either our Auckland or Wellington offices and is a hybrid role with three days in the office per week. Mō te Tūranga | About the Role You’ll bring to life the delivery of the wealth and insurance elements of BNZ’s customer propositions. You’ll aim to make sure the customer propositions are market leading and truly customer centric, making it easy for colleagues and customers to experience the value designed into the propositions. What are 5 day-to-day tasks the person in this role will complete? Execute product governance and regulatory compliance processes across the propositions as required. Support the development and lead the delivery of your allocated elements of the BNZ’s proposition strategy. Contribute to acquisition and retention initiatives across the proposition's portfolio. Monitor relevant customer behaviours, the wider market, and competitor product positions, translating information into compelling insights and as assessing the impact of economic, industry, and political changes on the portfolios. Support the development and management of value propositions, driving development, prioritization, and successful implementation to achieve desired customer and commercial outcomes, while managing product and process risk profiles and retiring products from the market when appropriate. What is your management style? I will set clear goals, be supportive but give my direct reports autonomy to manage their workloads. I place a strong focus on execution. What is the most exciting thing about this opportunity? You will manage a breadth of products and build on your current product knowledge across different product sets. The range of the product set across wealth and insurance means there is always variety the role. What is the most challenging thing about this opportunity? Ability to manage and build technical product knowledge across wealth and insurance product sets at pace as you will work across both. What will success look like for the candidate in this role? A good attitude to learning, critical thinking and be very proactive and responsive to the needs of our customers and colleagues. What specific skills would be beneficial? Banking, insurance or wealth industry experience Knowledge of banking systems and environments Experience in working with regulatory or compliance environments Analytical skills and the ability to work with qualitative and quantitative data What attributes will this person display in order to be successful in this role?
