Description
Design & Release new and existing components/sub-systems. Lead sub-system CPMT activities. Lead WERS (Worldwide Engineering Release System); alerts, concerns and notice processing. Lead/Support resolution of major design, manufacturing, program, and launch issues. Create, complete, approve DVPs and oversee testing in support of robust validation. Develop and maintain CPMT documents, including appropriate quality documents (FEDE, ESOW, DFMEA, PTDV, e3P, SCCAF's, Global Integrator, OPTIX, PPAP, 543 Chart etc.) for program specific sub-system responsibilities. Support all Program Meetings (EPMT, Design Review, DPMT, Change Control, etc ). Work directly with Suppliers, Supplier Technical Assistance (STA), and Launch teams to support program requirements and resolve quality issues. Interface with Engine Dynamometer Testing team. Interface with cross-functional team members, such as Purchasing, Mating Components, Calibration, Suppliers, and Manufacturing. Support Prototype Engine Build PAT (BOM, inspection and prototype fit reviews). Support travel, both domestic and international, when required. Established and active employee resource groups B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, Material Science or related field 3+ years Design and Release Experience Technical expertise with Gasoline Internal Combustion Engines (ICE) Experience with Base Engine Dynamometer Testing Experience with CAE Simulation Methodologies (1D, 3D, FEA, CFD) Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills Ability to interact effectively with multiple internal and external stakeholders Strong Leadership ability Black Belt Certification (preferred)
