Propulsion Test Engineer (m/f/d)

Your Tasks

  • Support of Space projects regarding development and testing of propulsion systems, from proposal phase to launch campaign
  • Writing of procedures and test plans as well as design and execution of gaseous, liquid and electrical functional tests of propulsion systems of a satellite or equipment tests or demonstrator tests
  • develop, build and advance test stands for development projects and execution of tests
  • specification, procurement, assembly and maintenance of test equipment
  • filling, pressurisation, drying from propulsion system or subassemblies
  • supervision and execution of system level tests at main area, tests centres and launch sites
  • Support of subsystem engineering with test expertise
  • Represent of results in front of project and/or customer
  • Contribution of proposal for future satellite projects

Your Qualifications

  • Completed studies (Bachelor or Master) in aerospace technologies, or equivalent qualification
  • Experience in practical work, specially in AIT domain and testing of propulsion systems
  • Familiarity with physical laws in hydraulic and pneumatic systems in static and dynamic behaviour
  • Knowledge of test procedure writing and scripting of data acquisition software would be beneficial
  • Knowledge of handling hazardous gases and/or liquids would be beneficial
  • Knowledge of automated test equipment would be beneficial
  • willing to dive into new topics and understand complex topics
  • hands on mentality and think out of the box
  • organised way of working, but also flexible
  • willing to work extraordinary working times (out of core hours and days)
  • willing to travel
  • willing to work in teams and a good way of communication
  • Fluent in written and spoken English, German language skills are advantageous
  • driver license class B (car)
