These properties offer outright ownership of beautiful pre-manufactured seasonal recreational cottages. Our resorts have full facilities including community areas, swimming pools, splash pads, multi-sports courts, playgrounds and beaches.
Pro Shop Supervisor Role Overview
The Prop Shop supervisor role is designed to ensure the Corporate Objectives of maximizing profitability and Owner, Guest & Staff happiness for their resort. The Prop Shop attendant is a strong sales driver, profit focused and people oriented. This Position is key to managing activities in the pro shop and sustaining positive relationships, ensuring customer satisfaction and strong financial returns, while generating revenue through chargeable rentals of equipment. The Pro Shop attendant is responsible for maintaining a well-organized and clean environment within the Pro Shop.
Responsibilities
1. Store Maintenance
a. Maintaining a clean and organized facility
b. Completing inventory of goods
c. Re-stocking and facing products
2. Transaction Processing
a. Processing debit, credit and cash transactions
b. Handling product returns and/or exchanges
c. Upselling or use of plus one strategy
d. Balancing tills
e. Serving drinks and/or food
3. Customer Service
a. Providing friendly, professional, and timely service
b. Scheduling tee times, making recommendations, and giving directions
c. Relaying any customer comments or future opportunities
d. Ensuring golfers follow course policies, procedures, and golfing etiquette
e. Building customer relationships with new and returning golfers
4. Event Staff
a. Assisting in the set up and tear down of special events
b. Providing friendly service to owners and customers
c. Aid fellow employees
4. Work with Resort General Manager and Golf Manager
a. Provide inventory and required reports
b. Relay any comments, concerns, suggestions
c. Provide tee time schedule and coordinating with golf manager
4. Supervisory duties
d. Help with staff scheduling and timesheets
e. Assist in training new staff and upholding customer service standards
f. Complete ordering including merchandise, food and beverage, etc.
g. Complete inventory as needed

Skills/Requirements

  • Strong time management and communication skills
  • Smart Serve Certified
  • Previous customer service and POS experience preferred
  • Prior experience within a proshop or backshop at golf course considered an asset
  • Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills
  • Must be available to work weekends
