Project Context and Scope Under the overall supervision of the Deputy Chief of Mission and the direct supervision of the Head of Protection, the Junior Protection Analyst – Research, and Advocacy supports the Protection Division (PxD) in donor reporting, analysis and advocacy of programmatic interventions in Iraq. The scope of this consultancy relates to IOM's Protection Division's protection monitoring and research activities, as well as reporting. IOM contributes to evidence-based protection advocacy through protection monitoring. Protection monitoring is carried out to identify the protection risks and needs of affected populations to support evidence-based programming and advocacy. Research is conducted using a mixed-method approach and feeds into advocacy with key stakeholders, including government, development actors, and donor communities. The consultant contributes to this work by supporting the production of protection monitoring reports and any other protection monitoring products and activities. The Junior Protection Analyst also supports PxD with its donor reporting portfolio. The consultant will support the Protection Analyst for PxD donor reports to be submitted to the Programme Support Unit (PSU) for final clearance.
