PROTECTIVE SERVICES SCREENER – HYBRID SCHEDULE – HIRING BONUS!

Seeking a full-time (37.5 hours/week) Protective Services Screener. The Protective Services Screener works within the Protective Services Department. Responsibilities include reviewing all reports of suspected elder abuse/neglect/exploitation, evaluating information to make screening decisions based on reportable conditions as defined in 651. CMR 5.0, and assigning intakes to Protective Service Workers (PSWs) on a rotating basis with appropriate response times. Responsibilities also include making calls to collect supportive information, documenting decisions made, and following up with Mandated Reporters. Also, keeping an accurate intake log and assignment list

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree: REQUIRED
  • Field of Degree in: Social work, psychology, counseling, human development, nursing, sociology, criminal justice, public health, public policy or gerontology PREFERRED
  • At least 2 years experience working in human service field PREFERRED
  • Use of a reliable vehicle including active vehicle insurance with a current license to drive REQUIRED.
  • Demonstrate strong organizational skills, prioritization, analytical, problem solving, leadership and team skills
  • Ability to multi-task, keep accurate records, have a strong attention to detail, document clearly and community effectively verbally and in writing, all within a fast paced environment.
  • Ability to take initiative and work independently
  • Computer proficiency, including experience with Microsoft products (Excel, SharePoint, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
  • Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 20 pounds and have the ability to climb stairs.
