Description
Location: Aviano Air Base, Italy Position: Part-Time Duties: Direct and lead the Protestant music program, including rehearsals and worship services, to create an engaging and meaningful worship experience. Provide music for one weekly Sunday service and one rehearsal. Lead the praise team and congregation in worship, vocally and instrumentally. Collaborate with the Protestant Chaplain to select and prepare music aligned with the liturgical calendar and scriptural themes, ensuring final approval of selections. Recruit and train volunteers to participate in the music program, ensuring the quality and consistency of performances. Maintain and care for all music equipment and chapel resources, ensuring proper setup, use, and storage after services and rehearsals. Requirements: Minimum of two years of post-secondary education in music or a related field, or equivalent experience in a church or chapel setting. Demonstrated ability to lead and vocally guide a congregation in a variety of Protestant worship styles, including traditional hymns and contemporary Christian music. Proficiency in sight-reading, arranging, improvising, and scoring music. Strong understanding of Christian worship principles and the ability to articulate the core tenets of the Christian faith.
