The Prosthesis Coordinator is a key role within the newly established St John of God Midland Private Hospital, due to open in late August 2026. The position supports Theatre caregivers during the establishment and transition to operations, ensuring prosthesis selection and use is clinically appropriate, operationally sustainable, and compliant with organisational and regulatory requirements. The role provides end‑to‑end coordination of prosthesis management, including system setup, data integrity, and reporting through TechOne. This permanent full‑time position plays a critical role in embedding robust governance, cost‑effective practice, and safe patient care within a new hospital environment. The successful applicant will bring demonstrated experience within the private healthcare industry, with sound knowledge of medical products, consumables, and clinical terminology. You will have a strong understanding of prosthesis inventory management, including consignment and loan stock processes, along with knowledge of health fund contracts and ex‑gratia processes. High attention to detail and strong analytical capability are essential, particularly in identifying usage, billing, and financial reconciliation discrepancies. Basic accounting knowledge, coupled with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and the ability to quickly learn hospital systems, is required. You will be highly organised and capable of managing multiple competing priorities within required timeframes while working with minimal supervision. The role requires well‑developed negotiation and conflict resolution skills, including effective liaison with suppliers and theatre caregivers. Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills are essential to work harmoniously within a multi‑disciplinary healthcare team and to provide clear training, guidance, and support to caregivers. About the new Midland Private Hospital A brand-new purpose-built state-of-the-art facility, currently under construction, located just 300 metres from the St John of God Midland Public and Private Hospitals Campus. A comprehensive range of medical and surgical services, with interventional cardiology being offered for the first time in the region The hospital will feature: 96 overnight inpatient beds, including a six-bed critical care/high dependency unit. 33-bed/chair short stay and day procedure unit Eight operating theatres.
