As a Prototype Manufacturing Technician, you’ll be at the heart of turning concept into reality. Focused on fabrication, machining, and metalworking, you’ll help develop the most advanced prototypes Aston Martin has ever created.

Your Mission

• Fabricate bespoke prototype components using both manual and CNC machining techniques
• Perform precision TIG/MIG welding across aluminium, stainless steel, and mild steel
• Create structural and cosmetic parts through metal forming, cutting, and finishing
• Operate a wide range of workshop machinery including mills, lathes, saws, and hand tools
• Support body structure builds, jigs, and fixture creation, as well as prototype reworks (PWR)
• Collaborate with design and engineering teams to problem-solve manufacturing challenges
• Maintain workshop tooling, manage consumables, and support process control
• Work safely and efficiently in line with Aston Martin’s high standards

What You’ll Bring

You have proven hands-on experience in a fabrication, machining, or prototype manufacturing environment—ideally in automotive, motorsport, or aerospace. You’re confident interpreting detailed CAD drawings and engineering schematics, and you take pride in producing parts to exacting tolerances.

• Strong skills in metal fabrication and welding
• Experience with CNC and manual machining
• Ability to work with various materials including steel, aluminium, and composites
• Familiarity with 3D printing and additive manufacturing principles
• Excellent hand tool proficiency and attention to finish quality
• Competent in digital tools for workshop stock and task tracking
• HV awareness and understanding of safe workshop practices is a plus
