Summary
We are looking for a “Prototype Mechanic / Prototype Mechatronics Technician (f/m/d)” for the “Production Naval Systems” division at the Oberkochen site at the earliest possible date.
The “Production Naval Systems” department is responsible for the production and maintenance of submarine periscopes and optronic systems for national and international customers.
The department is also responsible for installation, commissioning and customer acceptance on site.

Your Tasks

• Assembly and testing of optoelectronic components of periscopes and optronic mast systems in accordance with the production documents
• Assembly and testing of optoelectronic components for new products and special designs
• Repair of assemblies, analysis of faults and determination of remedial measures
• Determining or agreeing and carrying out the type and scope of fault and damage rectification within certain limits according to economic aspects
• Cleaning and adjusting optical and mechanical assemblies
• Carrying out and ensuring the necessary quality checks, including documentation
• Acceptance of plants and systems in the factory
• Creating customer and device documentation (test reports, acceptance documentation, error logs, findings reports)
• Collaboration in the creation of service and test instructions
• Soldering, crimping and bonding components
• Carrying out customer repairs in the factory and at the customer’s site

Willingness to travel on business is a prerequisite.

Your Profile

• Completed vocational training as an industrial mechanic, mechatronics technician or similar
• Many years of professional experience in the assembly, commissioning, diagnosis and repair of complex precision mechanical and electronic assemblies / devices
• Knowledge of soldering, crimping and bonding
• Experience in working with SAP
• Independent working style and ability to work in a team are required
• Strong performance and quality awareness
• High willingness to learn and flexibility
• Confident appearance with the customer
• Fluency in German and English
