Description
About Goodyear We’re dedicated to producing, innovating, and servicing the best tires in the world. For over 125 years, Goodyear has led the way in developing smart solutions that shape the future of mobility. Today, we’re one global team united by bold thinking, relentless drive, and a passion to exceed expectations. If you’re ready to embrace change and make an impact in your career, let’s go. Why This Role Matters Experimental tire builds sit at the heart of innovation. This role ensures those builds happen on time, with the right materials, and within real production constraints. By translating experimental requests into executable plans, you’ll be the connector between design, engineering, suppliers, and shop-floor operations—making sure ideas turn into buildable, test-ready tires without disrupting capacity or flow. This lab functions as a specialized prototyping hub where digital designs are transformed into physical test models. By combining 3D models, manual manufacturing, tire analysis & sampling and precision laser carving, the facility allows engineers to rapidly produce and fine-tune tread patterns. This multifunctional laboratory integrates prototyping tire production with the development of advanced manufacturing equipment and technologies. What You’ll Do Plan and schedule experimental tire builds, balancing requests with available capacity, labor, and machine constraints Develop long-range and frozen 3-week production schedules covering materials, components, and tire building activities Coordinate raw material and component availability with suppliers and sister plants to support NPI and experimental needs Monitor execution versus plan, identify deviations, and drive corrective actions with production and engineering teams Track, analyze, and report production control KPIs to support performance, reliability, and continuous improvement Act as the central planning interface between requestors, project managers, tire designers, OMC teams, and IPL (Innovation Prototyping Lab) What You’ll Bring Minimum 5 years’ experience in operations coordination, planning, or scheduling roles Experience in tire building or rubber manufacturing (experimental environment is a strong asset) Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret capacity data and production metrics Proficiency with planning tools, ERP systems, and Excel-based scheduling Clear, confident communication skills and the ability to align cross-functional teams High attention to detail with a structured, problem-solving mindset Comfort working in a fast-changing environment with shifting priorities Fluent English and good level of German and French We welcome applicants from a wide range of backgrounds and experiences. Even if you don’t meet every listed qualification, we encourage you to apply. #LI-MW1 Goodyear is one of the world's largest tire companies.
