About the Role
We are looking for a proactive and technically skilled Prototyping & Technical Transfer Engineer to join our Submarine R&D team, with a specialized focus on the Flexible Factory Joint (FFJ) — a key accessory that connects sections of high-voltage submarine cables.
You will be responsible for developing and industrializing new solutions aimed at improving the performance and manufacturability of FFJs, with a particular focus on meeting the increasing demands of higher voltage ratings and deeper sea installations.
All activities will be carried out in close coordination with other R&D functions (such as materials and testing), and will require a broad technical perspective encompassing design, materials, process development and validation.
The role involves collaboration across multiple departments as well as frequent interactions with external suppliers and Prysmian production sites across different countries.
