We provide physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses, and allied health professionals to deliver high-quality care to service members and their families. Position Overview The Provider Credentialing and HR Manager leads credentialing, privileging, and core HR processes for our DHA clinical workforce. This role owns the end-to-end credentialing lifecycle and manages day-to-day HR support to ensure providers are fully qualified, ready to start on time, and supported throughout their assignment. Key Responsibilities Manage the full credentialing and re-credentialing process for physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses, and allied health professionals. Oversee primary source verification (education, training, licensure, board certification, work history, malpractice history, sanctions, etc.). Coordinate privileging with Military Treatment Facility (MTF) medical staff offices to ensure privileges are granted before start dates. Track and manage expirations (licenses, certifications, DEA/CSR, BLS/ACLS and other credentials); ensure renewals are obtained before lapse. Coordinate background checks, exclusion list (OIG/SAM) reviews, drug screens, and other pre-employment requirements. Maintain accurate digital credentialing files and provider data in internal systems and trackers. Partner with recruiting and operations to align offers, start dates, and onboarding activities with credentialing timelines. Manage HR onboarding for new providers, including employment paperwork, benefits coordination, orientation, and timekeeping expectations. Provide HR guidance to managers and providers on policies, performance documentation, corrective action, and leave/time-off matters. Maintain compliant personnel files and HRIS records aligned with contract and audit requirements. Support employee relations by documenting issues, coordinating with leadership and Legal as needed, and following through on action plans. Prepare regular reports/metrics on credentialing status, expirations, turnaround times, and key HR indicators for leadership. Lead and mentor credentialing/HR support staff when applicable, setting priorities and monitoring workflow to meet service levels. QualificationsQualifications Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Healthcare Administration, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience). 3–5+ years of healthcare credentialing experience; staffing or multi-facility experience strongly preferred. 3+ years of HR generalist or HR management experience supporting clinical or healthcare staff. Experience with federal healthcare or Defense Health Agency / Military Health System environments is a strong plus. Working knowledge of credentialing standards, primary source verification, background checks, and privileging processes. Familiarity with HR best practices, employment basics, and HRIS/timekeeping systems. Strong attention to detail and ability to manage high-volume, time-sensitive workloads across multiple contracts and locations. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with providers, internal teams, and external government contacts.
