Job Overview
SNDL is seeking a Customer Inventory Specialist to manage national inventory health and replenishment within our Cannabis Operations division. This role is responsible for ensuring optimal stock levels, mitigating risks like stockouts and overstock, and enhancing customer satisfaction through proactive inventory planning. Working cross-functionally, the ideal candidate will identify and address risks, optimize SKU performance, and drive supply chain initiatives to align with customer needs. By building strong relationships with key stakeholders, this position will play a vital role in delivering exceptional service and positioning SNDL as the supplier of choice.
Role & Responsibilities

Inventory & Replenishment Management:

  • Oversee provincial customer inventory to align with demand and minimize stock issues.
  • Execute replenishment processes with provincial boards, distributors, and key stakeholders.
  • Develop and share weekly and monthly inventory offers with internal teams and customers.
  • Maintain customer dashboards and proactively flag inventory risks to stakeholders.
  • Lead the Return to Vendor process and develop mitigation strategies for excess inventory.

Supply Chain & Logistics Engagement:

  • Manage purchase order (PO) coordination, tracking shipment delays and advancements.
  • Provide insights on risks and opportunities from supply chain fluctuations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure optimal supply allocations.
  • Support key performance indicator (KPI) alignment and service level targets.

Customer Relationship Management:

  • Build strong partnerships with provincial boards and distributors.
  • Oversee customer inventory replenishment to prevent lost sales from stockouts.
  • Deliver key reports and insights on inventory availability and planning.
  • Provide customer intelligence to support strategic decision-making.

Knowledge and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Supply Chain, Finance, Logistics, Economics, or Engineering (preferred).
  • 2-5 years of experience in inventory management, supply planning, demand planning, or customer-facing supply chain roles.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), PowerBI, and ERP systems.
  • Excellent analytical skills with experience in forecasting and reporting.
  • Strong ability to build and manage relationships with customers and stakeholders.
  • Sales experience, such as territory management or key account selling is an asset
  • Cannabis knowledge and experience in a manufacturing/CPG environment an asset
