Responsibilities

Genesis is recruiting for a [Provincial TB Quality Improvement (QI) Lead] to [Join us as a Provincial TB Quality Improvement (QI) Lead and make a significant impact on public health in high-burden districts across KwaZulu-Natal and Gauteng. In this dynamic role, you’ll be at the forefront of improving TB control efforts, driving data-driven initiatives, and fostering sustainable health solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Enhance TB Planning and Coordination: Develop and implement comprehensive End TB Campaign plans with clear targets. Align provincial plans with national priorities, identifying high-burden areas for focused interventions.
  • Lead QI Projects: Identify underperforming districts and coordinate targeted QI projects. Implement initiatives to enhance TB case detection and strengthen TB/HIV integration.
  • Mentorship and Capacity Building: Provide mentorship to district and subdistrict coordinators on Quality Improvement (QI) methodologies. Support training efforts to improve data interpretation and routine use for decision-making.
  • Utilize Data for Improvement: Promote the use of national dashboards for program monitoring. Ensure data-driven reviews inform strategic planning and action at the provincial and district levels.

Expected Deliverables:

  • Approved provincial End TB Campaign plans with defined targets.
  • Quarterly reports on QI implementation, progress, and lessons learned.
  • Documentation of capacity-building activities and mentorship plans.
  • Analytical briefs to guide provincial and district reviews.

  • A Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Public Health, Nursing, Health Management, or a related field. A Master’s degree is advantageous.
  • At least five years of proven experience in TB or public health program implementation, with a strong understanding of quality improvement approaches.
  • Experience working within government health systems at the provincial or district level, preferably in TB/HIV.
  • Proven skills in facilitation, mentorship, and coordination within government health systems, preferably in TB/HIV environments.
  • The ability to interpret health data and translate it into actionable strategies for program improvement.Excellent communication, relationship-building, and report writing skills.

LOCATION:This role is based in South Africa, specifically in the provinces of KwaZulu-Natal and Gauteng.You must be legally authorized to work in South Africa and possess all necessary permits.Duration:We are seeking an individuals for a 6-month fixed-term engagement, starting July 2025.
