St Vincent’s is seeking a suitable applicant who has completed joint haematology advanced training and have a demonstrated interest and expertise in molecular biology and molecular diagnosis/testing relevant to haematology. The position has been funded by RCPA STP and SydPath and the applicant will be based solely in the laboratory with no clinical duties.

Responsibilities

The successful applicant will have completed joint haematology advanced training and have a demonstrated interest and expertise in molecular biology and molecular diagnosis/testing relevant to haematology. The position has been funded by RCPA STP and SydPath and the applicant will be based solely in the laboratory with no clinical duties.

Duties include the following:

  • Undertake training in Modules 2, 3 and/or 4 of the Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia (RCPA) certification modules in genetic/genomic pathology in haematology with the aim of gaining accreditation in one or more modules (supervision by David Jones, Dr Michael Krigstein, Dr Joanne Joseph and Professor David Ma)
