The primary purpose of a Provisional Fellow in Pain Medicine include:

• Provide medical assessments in chronic pain patients attending the triage clinic and participate in the multidisciplinary pain clinic meetings.
• Provide medical management of these patients in the follow-up clinic.
• Provide inpatient consultations for acute and chronic pain patients and liaise between the two services.
• Provide clinical input to the group and education programs established for these patients.
• Provide input into education sessions of the chronic pain services and provide education and supervision for JMOs involved in the Pain Services.
