                                                                                                                     Job Description:       JOB TITLE  Logistics Specialist  PROGRAM  Post Release Services  REPORTS TO  Program Director Assistant Program Director  SALARY   $65,142 LOCATION    JOB TYPE  Exempt  WORK SCHEDULE  40 Hours per Week      General Description  The Logistics Specialist is responsible for coordinating travel and monitoring travel budget funds for employees. The LS will keep track of all travel costs and analyze needs based on frequency and number of staff needed to provide services.    About You  The ideal candidate for our program is a self-motivated and dedicated person who is excited and passionate about helping infants, toddlers, and families grow in development and in education.   You are also a personable, energetic, and empathetic leader who can manage multiple staff and projects in a prioritized manner to meet our internal Urban Strategies goals of all current Refugio Performance Standards.  You have the following competencies:  * Ability to provide guidance and support to staff. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. * Ability to work independently and as part of a team.  * Attention to detail and ability tomaintainaccuraterecords.  * Adapt to unexpected circumstances, think critically and is resourceful. * Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.  * Adapt to frequent changes and bringnew ideasand innovations to the workplace.  * Foster a harmonious work environment and find mutually beneficial resolutions that promote teamwork.   Minimum Qualifications  * Education: Bachelor’s degree * Experience: One year of job-related experience * Knowledge of family preservation, kinship care, trauma informed care, child welfare policies and procedures, and relevant state and federal laws and regulations. * Fluent in English and Spanish (verbal/written). * Effective communication and interpersonal skills to successfully interact withcaseworkers,and other stakeholders. * Strong organizational and problem-solving skills to manage multiple tasks and priorities. * Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion. * Proficiencyin Microsoft Office and data entry systems. * A valid driver's license, available to travel for meetings or training.       What You’ll Be Doing  * Develop and update tools used tomaintaintravel funds.  * Perform internal audits and record reviews for all travel needs. * Seeks travel agencies to conduct airfare reservations,lodgingand vehicle rental. * Process and input data as needed through various internal and external data collection and reporting systems.  * Coordinates travel arrangements andservesas the point of contact for all staff travel needs. * Keeps track of all travel costs and analyzes program needs based on frequency and number of staff needed to provide services. * Assistdepartments in reporting travel issues and determination of outcomes through the Monthly Quality Improvement Compliance Meeting.  * Provide technicalassistance, support, andon-goingguidance for the submission of travel reimbursement. * Maintainaccuraterecords, files, forms, statistics, andadditionalrelevant informationin accordance withagency policy, licensing, and/or funding requirements. * Able to react to change productively, fast-paced environment, and handle other essential tasks as assigned. * Work evenings, and on call as needed toassistwith programmatic services.  * Attend external and internal program training and meetings whenrequired. * Employer retainsthe right to change or assign other duties to this position.   About Urban Strategies  Urban Strategies exists to equip, resource and connect faith- and community-based organizations so that all children and families can reach their full potential.
