Description

General Description: Responsible for servicing and managing accounts on an as needed basis. Support regional teams when there are open positions or extended leaves.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • 5+ years experience in Personal Lines Property & Casualty Insurance. Comprehensive understanding of all Property & Casualty insurance coverages, underwriting and rating concepts.
  • Personal Risk experience as an account manager or leader. High-net worth and Middle Market experience.
  • Deep knowledge of high-net worth carriers – Chubb, AIG, PURE, Cincinnati, Nationwide PCG
  • High School Graduate. College degree preferred, but not required.
  • Must hold state Property & Casualty insurance license
  • Hold an industry designation such as CIC, CPRIA, CPRM, CPCU or intend to pursue designation. Expected to further industry knowledge through courses.
  • Strong written, oral and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of Sagitta/WorkSmart preferred, but not required.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced, team environment with minimal instruction.
  • Keep informed about industry information, technology and trends.
Responsibilities
  • Identify account development and/or new exposures.
  • Review expiration list and assist with security renewal coverages. Update agency management systems with required file documentation.
  • Meet service standards and Best Practices developed by USI.
  • Maintain up to date Tasks on assigned book following up on all open items
  • Assist with remarketing and quoting additional lines as needed.
  • Issue proof of insurance as needed, deliver or cancel policies as required. Maintain renewal expirations, to avoid any lapse in coverage.
  • Respond to underwriters’ questions in a timely and professional manner.
  • Maintain a high degree of accuracy in agency management and document management systems.
  • Help prompt response from carrier.
  • Perform monthly account review audits.
  • Additional projects as assigned.
