Mechanic
Duties:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on various types of vehicles and equipment, i
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues.
- Conduct inspections to identify potential problems and recommend necessary repairs.
- Complete repairs in a timely manner to minimize downtime.
- Keep accurate records of all maintenance and repairs performed.
- Provide excellent service by addressing concerns and answering questions.
- Assist with other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a mechanic or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of DVSA PSV regulations
- Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues.
- Proficient in using diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
Our fleet mainly consists of Volvo and Scania vehicle with Some smaller Mercedes and transit minibuses.
Our workshop is immaculate with the latest brand new equipment such as VLT brake rollers new sets of column lifts.
We would be really interested to speak to anyone who has experience in presenting PSV vehicles for annual test.
*ITREC certificate would be an advantage
PSV license would be an advantage**
