JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Support Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing care and assistance to individuals in various settings, including nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and home care environments. REQUIREMENTS

  • Previous experience in senior care, home care, or working with individuals with disabilities is preferred.
  • Knowledge of dementia care practices is highly desirable.
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting and assist clients with mobility challenges.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients and their families.
  • Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life.
  • Certification in medication administration is a plus but not required; training will be provided.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities
  • Provide personal care and support to clients, including assistance with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Administer medications as prescribed and ensure proper documentation of medication administration.
  • Assist clients with mobility and transfers, including heavy lifting when necessary.
  • Support individuals with dementia and other cognitive impairments by engaging them in meaningful activities.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, ensuring hygiene standards are met.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Monitor clients’ health and report any changes or concerns to the appropriate personnel.
  • Foster positive relationships with clients, promoting their independence and well-being.
