Responsibilities
  • Reports to the Charge Nurse, Director of Nursing
  • Participates as a member of the home multidisciplinary team to provide care
  • Assists residents while promoting independence in Activities of Daily Living (ADL) by assisting with personal hygiene, bathing, dressing, transferring, toileting and mobility as directed on each resident’s individual care plan.
  • Supports residents during mealtimes with care and dignity, assisting those who need help with eating and ensuring everyone enjoys nourishing snacks and refreshments between meals
  • Help create a clean, comfortable, and welcoming environment for residents
  • Notice and share any changes in a resident’s health or well-being with the registered staff
  • Communicate with kindness, patience, and respect to build meaningful connections with residents and their families
  • Keep accurate records of the care and support provided to ensure residents’ needs are met
  • Must represent, understand, and be committed to the Mission and Values of the home
  • Work in compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and the Long-Term Care Homes Act, and their regulations in performing duties safely and following all Crown Ridge Healthcare Health & Safety policies, procedures, and legislation
