As an RN in this unit, you will play a critical role in delivering therapeutic interventions, administering medications, and providing constant monitoring of patients who exhibit significant behavioral disturbances. The RN will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver evidence-based interventions, promote recovery, and manage psychiatric crises. This is a full-time night (7:30PM-800AM) position, including weekend coverage at Brooklyn Methodist Hospital. Experience: · Minimum of 1-2 years of psychiatric nursing experience, preferably in a psychiatric or behavioral health setting. · Experience working in an acute psychiatric or inpatient setting is preferred. · Experience in crisis management, de-escalation techniques, and managing psychiatric emergencies. Skills & Abilities: · Strong clinical judgment and critical thinking skills to assess and address complex psychiatric and medical conditions. · Ability to work effectively with patients in crisis and manage challenging behaviors with professionalism and empathy. · Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, patients, and families.
