  • Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled PMHNP to join our growing team in Eugene, OR. Our team of healthcare professionals is dedicated to providing exceptional care to our patients, and we need a passionate and experienced PMHNP to help us achieve this goal.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct psychiatric evaluations, assessments, and medication management under the supervision of a licensed psychiatrist.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members, including therapists, social workers, and nurses to develop and implement treatment plans for patients.
  • Monitor patients for adverse reactions to medications and adjust medication dosages as needed.
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding mental health conditions, treatments, and resources.
  • Document patient care accurately and completely in electronic medical records.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to improve patient outcomes and satisfaction.

Qualifications:

  • Current certification as a PMHNP
  • Experience working in a psychiatric setting, preferred but not required
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to pass required background and reference checks
  • Proficiency in electronic medical records, and other methods of electronic communication and collaboration. NorthStar Psychiatry uses ChARM Health for our EMR, experience a plus, but not required.
