ABOUT THE JOB

Pacific Mind Health is looking for a Full-Time or Part-Time Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHMP) as we expand our outpatient practice throughout Southern California. This position will provide clinical care onsite at our outpatient clinic in West Los Angeles and through our telehealth program.
This role will evaluate, diagnose, and treat adults and adolescents (12+) through assessment and medication management of mental health problems and psychiatric disorders. Provide continuous and comprehensive services either in office or via telemedicine, if necessary, for optimal mental health, prevention, and treatment of psychiatric disorders and health maintenance to patients in an outpatient facility setting. The PMHNP shall work collaboratively with other medical and mental health providers.

PATIENT EDUCATION

  • Utilize teaching-learning theory with patients and their families to influence patient outcomes.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • California NP/PA License
  • California DEA License
  • Active, unrestricted California medical license
  • Experience in outpatient psychiatry (1–3+ years preferred)
  • Familiarity or experience with interventional psychiatry (TMS, ketamine, Spravato) strongly preferred
  • Familiarity with Google Suite platform is a plus
Responsibilities
  • Evaluate, diagnose, and treat a diverse patient population through patient evaluations
  • Determine a differential diagnosis and plan for intervention that adheres to an ethical medication management practice.
  • Provide excellent top quality patient focused care in an empathetic and supportive treatment environment
  • Document care provided, meeting standards for chart reviews.
  • Utilize proper counseling techniques, interpersonal communication, interview techniques, conflict resolutions.
