Title: Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) Location: Hybrid / Remote (New York-based preferred) On-site presence required once per month Salary + Benefits: $145/hour | Part-time (8 hours/week – Friday mornings preferably) Responsibilities of Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner • Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations for children, adolescents, and adults (ages 9–80) • Provide ongoing medication management for a caseload of approximately 40–45 patients seen quarterly • Complete psychiatric assessments, treatment planning, and clinical documentation • Manage prior authorizations and medication-related approvals • Treat a community mental health population including anxiety, depressive, psychotic, and adjustment disorders • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of five clinicians to ensure coordinated care • Participate in a monthly on-site staff meeting • Deliver culturally competent care to patients who are deaf or hard of hearing, including individuals who speak, use hearing aids, or utilize alternative communication methods • Provide services primarily via telehealth with limited on-site requirements Requirements of Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner • Active New York State license as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) • Ability to practice independently without the need for a collaborative agreement with an MD • Experience or strong interest in working with deaf and hard-of-hearing populations • Background in community mental health • Experience treating patients across the lifespan • Strong assessment, communication, and medication management skills • Candidates with personal or family experience with hearing loss are highly encouraged to apply Additional Information All your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.
