Description Montana Psychiatry & Brain Health Center (“Montana Psychiatry”), a leading provider of psychiatric services, is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) who will be responsible for providing general outpatient psychiatric services at our location in Bozeman. Montana Psychiatry is a physician-led practice that was co-founded in 2009 by Dr. Erin Amato in Billings, MT. Dr. Amato and her team are committed to serving patients in the community and region and giving back to underserved communities that lack high-quality mental health services. Montana Psychiatry joined the Turnwell Mental Health Network in November 2022 with the intent to expand local access to transformative treatment to more communities in Montana. Requirements Duties and Responsibilities: Conduct outpatient psychiatric evaluations, including intake assessments & follow-up assessments, diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing support for individuals with mental health conditions. Provide outpatient interventional psychiatric services. Daily Volume Expectations: 12-15 patients Create, communicate, and carry out treatment plans with the patient. Complete full and appropriate documentation to support professional billing for services. Interpret test results to diagnose any health issues and provide feedback to patients. Educate and counsel patients regarding medication compliance. Prescribe medications when clinically necessary. Communicate with patients regarding diagnosis and treatment plan. Communicate with and make referrals to PCPs and/or specialists as appropriate. Provide services at community partnership locations. Maintain required licensure, certifications, and CME credits. Other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications: Candidate must possess an active & unrestricted license to practice in Montana. Experience in a behavioral health setting. Must possess an unrestricted DEA license in the state(s) of practice. Provider to possess a current board certification by a national certifying body as a Psychiatric Physician Assistant (PA-C, CAQ- Psychiatry) or PMHNP. Eligible for credentialing with all major insurance plans and to participate in Medicare. Excellent communication, patient relations, time management skills, and safety awareness are required. Computer-literate and experienced with Electronic Medical Records.
