CFG Health Network is seeking a dedicated Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist to join our team at St. Clare’s Hospital in Boonton, NJ on a part-time or per diem basis. This flexible position offers the opportunity to provide high-quality psychiatric care to children, adolescents, and their families in a supportive and dynamic hospital setting. The psychiatrist will be responsible for performing evaluations, medication management, and developing treatment plans for young patients presenting with a range of mental health concerns. QUALIFICATIONS: * Education: MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school. * Licensure: Board-certified or board-eligible in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. Must hold an active state medical license in New Jersey along with CDS and DEA. * Experience: * Previous experience in child and adolescent psychiatry is preferred. * Strong clinical skills and experience in psychiatric evaluation and treatment of children and adolescents. * Skills and Competencies: * Ability to diagnose and treat a broad range of psychiatric disorders, including mood disorders, anxiety disorders, ADHD, trauma, and more. * Excellent communication skills with both children, adolescents, and their families. * Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team. * Experience with medication management and evidence-based therapeutic approaches (e.g., CBT, DBT). * Compassionate, empathetic, and patient-centered approach to care. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: * Conduct psychiatric evaluations for children, adolescents, and their families to assess mental health conditions, emotional distress, and behavioral concerns. * Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans for patients, incorporating evidence-based therapies and medications when appropriate. * Provide medication management and adjust treatment protocols as needed, with regular follow-up appointments. * Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including therapists, social workers, pediatricians, and school personnel, to ensure comprehensive care for patients. * Offer counseling and psychoeducation to patients and their families regarding mental health, treatment options, and coping strategies. * Maintain detailed and accurate patient records in compliance with legal, ethical, and regulatory standards. * Participate in case conferences, team meetings, and ongoing professional development activities. * Provide crisis intervention and emergency psychiatric care as needed. * Stay current with the latest research, treatment approaches, and guidelines in child and adolescent psychiatry. * Work with Psychiatry residents as needed.
Responsibilities
