Ohio Hospital for Psychiatry is a leading medical acute inpatient & outpatient treatment center in Columbus, OH, treating suicide, addiction, memory disorders & mental health issues.This 130-bed acute care hospital offers a wide range of services, including Adult and Senior Inpatient Programs, Dual Diagnosis Programs, and Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) to address community needs.
We are currently seeking to add a Full-Time, Inpatient Psychiatrist to support our patients receiving specialized psychiatric care.

SUMMARY:

  • Responsible for providing clinical services to patients at the facility.
  • Practice within medical protocols defined by federal and state regulations, as well as by corporate, facility policy or procedures.
  • Review medical information on patients to ensure medical stability and to offer medical recommendations.
  • Evaluate patients for mental, emotional or behavioral disorders.
  • Treat or direct treatment of patients, utilizing a variety of psychotherapeutic methods and medications.
  • Review and complete medical information for individual care plans, documents services and information in a timely manner.
  • Maintain confidential documentation, compliance and billing in accordance with the policy and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Doctoral degree in Medicine (MD or DO) required.
  • One or more years’ post graduate degree practice preferred.
  • Licensed in the state in which the facility(s) operate.
