Professional Care provides comprehensive medical & mental health care services throughout the state of New York. Correctional medicine is a unique, challenging, and exciting opportunity for today’s mental health professional in that it provides the ability to truly utilize all of your learned skills and knowledge on a daily basis. Correctional health care is the perfect hybrid of Outpatient and Inpatient Psychiatry, serving an often underserved and extremely diverse patient population. We are currently looking for a part-time or full-time Psychiatrist to share time weekly working on site or tele-psychiatry with our mental health teams at the Onondaga County Justice Center in Syracuse, NY, the Onondaga County Correctional Facility in Jamesville, NY and the Hillbrook Juvenile Detention Center in Syracuse, NY. Part Time is 16 - 24 hours per week position worked Monday - Friday normal business hours shared between the three county facilities. Full Time is 40 hours per week throughout facilities in New York State doing Tele-Services. To quickly summary some key points: Hourly compensation is negotiable and commensurate based on experience, rate range: $150.00 - $250.00 Company-paid liability insurance (including tail) included, Generous part-time PTO package offered, Partial annual licensure reimbursement offered, and more. Requirements Graduate of an accredited School of Medicine or Osteopathic Medicine, specialty in Psychiatry. Board Certified or Board Eligible. Licensed to practice Psychiatry within the State of New York. Maintain current DEA Maintain current Driver’s License.
