Overview The Psychiatrist will be responsible for performing direct psychiatric services and psychiatric consultation. Responsibilities Performs comprehensive evaluation, diagnosis, treatment planning and treatment of clients assigned on an outpatient basis Make referrals or recommendations for appropriate services. Comply with required documentation and record keeping Prescribe and review medications according to current standards of care Provide psychiatric consultations as indicated and requestedAct as a liaison with hospital staff and other professionals and agencies with regard to psychiatric services Qualifications Doctor of Medicine or Osteopathic Medicine who is certified by the American Board of Psychiatry & Neurology and is fully licensed to practice in the state of Iowa, required 4 years experience in the practice of psychiatry, which can include residency, required Licensed in state of Iowa upon hire, requiredBoard certified or Board eligible. Obtain Board certification within 2 years of being eligible, required Experience in community mental health, preferred
