Description

Psychological Therapist for Perinatal mental health service- Band 7
Full time, permanent role
Are you passionate about ensuring that women and baby have access to high quality and evidence-based mental health and psychological care?
Maternal mental health is a life-saving, crucial and growing area of practice bringing together some of the most passionate and skilled health professionals in the NHS. 10% of women develop a mental health problem during pregnancy or within the immediate period after the birth of their baby and untreated can have a devastating impact on the women affected and their families. In the UK, mental health in pregnant and post-natal women has previously often gone unrecognised, undiagnosed and untreated.
Coventry & Warwickshire Partnership NHS specialist perinatal mental health service work is a multidisciplinary team that is meeting the specific needs of ante and perinatal women with a high quality multi-disciplinary service and linking with the full range of health and social care professionals including GPs, health visitors and midwives as well as gynaecology, obstetrics ETC.
The service is a dynamic, exciting collaboration across three commissioning groups and three maternity hospitals and a range of community settings.
At Coventry and Warwickshire Partnership NHS Trust (CWPT), we deliver a wide range of physical, mental health, learning disability and autism services, and are proud to serve communities across Coventry, Warwickshire and beyond.
We put ‘people at our heart’; this ethos is at the centre of everything we do and how we do it. We care for our staff and colleagues as much as they care for others and offer a wide range of benefits and development opportunities.
