Responsibilities

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:

  • Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments to understand each young person’s unique needs
  • Deliver a range of evidence-based psychological therapies, such as CBT, DBT, and ACT, tailored to individual treatment plans
  • Collaborate closely with patients, families, and the multidisciplinary team to ensure integrated and person-centred care
  • Support service development initiatives that align with best practice and current research to enhance patient care
  • Play a key role in our initiative to support hospital staff wellbeing, fostering a healthy, resilient workplace culture
  • Provide supervision, guidance, and professional development to Assistant Psychologists and other members of the multidisciplinary team
  • Promote and develop a culture of research within the service, encouraging evidence-based practice and ongoing learning
  • Keep people safe from harm and protect their human rights
