POSITION SUMMARY:

We are seeking a dedicated and empathetic Psychologist to join our outpatient team full-time. The ideal candidate will have experience in behavioral health assessment, evidence-based therapy, and supporting patients managing chronic illness, pain, and mental health conditions. This role is key in integrating psychological care with medical treatment plans to improve patient outcomes and overall quality of life.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Doctoral degree (PhD or PsyD) in Clinical or Counseling Psychology from an accredited program
  • Current and valid license to practice psychology in the state of Connecticut
  • 1–3 years of clinical experience, preferably in an outpatient, medical, or pain management setting
  • Experience with evidence-based therapies for chronic pain and/or health psychology strongly preferred
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • EMR documentation experience

Responsibilities
  • Conduct psychological assessments, diagnostic evaluations, and individualized treatment planning
  • Provide evidence-based therapy (CBT, ACT, supportive therapy, etc.) to patients managing chronic pain, anxiety, depression, or adjustment disorders
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare providers to develop integrated care plans
  • Educate patients and families on coping strategies, stress management, and lifestyle interventions
  • Maintain accurate, timely documentation in EMR systems in compliance with regulatory standards
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to support continuity of care
  • Provide crisis intervention and referral as needed
