Full job description

Introduction:

Psychologist

  • Permanent Part-Time opportunity: Minimum 1 day per week, Monday to Friday (no weekend work!)
  • Located in Brisbane: Hybrid role with onsite work across Redbank, Wacol and surrounding suburbs, plus work‑from‑home flexibility
  • Remuneration: Competitive salary + PD allowance + Super

We're seeking an engaging and experienced Psychologist who is passionate about early intervention, prevention and helping people thrive at work to join our team.

You'll need to be onsite in our client’s organisations at least 1 day per week. Outside of that, we can build a telehealth casebook to suit your schedule and what works best for you, completely remotely!

Working across a range of organisations and industries, you will be collaborating with employees, managers and workplace leaders to support mentally healthy workplaces. This is not a traditional clinic-based role. You'll spend time out in workplaces building relationships, conducting proactive wellbeing check-ins, facilitating workshops and providing brief psychological interventions before issues escalate.

At Axis, we believe happier and healthier people perform better. As a Psychologist, you'll use your clinical expertise, communication skills and practical problem-solving approach to make a genuine impact, while enjoying variety, flexibility and meaningful workplace outcomes.

In this role you will:

  • Deliver short-term, solution-focused psychological support and mental health coaching via onsite, telehealth and blended models of care
  • Conduct proactive wellbeing check-ins and build rapport with employees through visible onsite engagement
  • Facilitate toolbox talks, wellbeing presentations and psychoeducational workshops
  • Deliver programs focused on resilience, emotional intelligence, stress management, mindfulness, change management and psychosocial wellbeing
  • Develop tailored support plans and facilitate referrals to GPs, EAPs and specialist services where appropriate
  • Collaborate closely with employees, managers and organisational stakeholders to support mentally healthy workplaces
  • Work alongside Axis Injury Prevention Specialists and the broader multidisciplinary team to deliver integrated workplace wellbeing solutions
  • Participate in and contribute to a strong team culture across the Axis team, both locally and interstate

You will bring the following:

  • Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Psychologist
  • Minimum 2-3 years' experience in counselling, mental health coaching, brief intervention or similar psychological support services
  • Strong facilitation, presentation and relationship-building skills
  • Experience working with individuals experiencing common mental health and workplace wellbeing challenges
  • Professional indemnity insurance
  • Full Australian working rights
  • Australian driver's licence and access to your own private vehicle
  • Willingness to undergo background and/or other pre-employment checks
