ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
We’re seeking a skilled and compassionate Psychologist to join our Child and Family Health team, delivering high-quality psychological and psychosocial assessments, interventions, and consultations for children aged 0–12. This specialised role focuses on supporting preschool-aged children as they prepare for their transition to school, offering screening, intake, assessment, and therapy in a nurturing and family-centred environment. You’ll work closely with children, families, and their support networks to promote emotional wellbeing, developmental progress, and positive outcomes during these formative years.

To deliver evidence-based psychological assessments, interventions and consultation in order to assess the needs of consumers within Primary and Community Health. This position will support the implementation of the Brighter Beginnings preschool health and development screening, and will provide assessment, early intervention, capacity building and direct care pathways for children in SWSLHD.
The role also participates in the evaluation of clinical outcomes of services and assists in the development and provision of education and training programs. Additionally, the role supervises psychologists and other disciplines working within the LHD according to organisational needs.
