About the Role: We have an exciting temporary opportunity for a Psychologist who is looking to join the Forensic Mental Health Services team. This is a temporary position with the possibility of permanency. Under limited supervision you will be providing clinical assessment and intervention to patients within a therapeutic forensic environment. You will ensure a therapeutic and recovery-based approach is taken, focusing on individually tailored treatment programs to maximise position mental health care outcomes for consumers. You will use your expertise to contribute to the development, analysis, evaluation and planning of psychological group programs in line with relevant framework and also participate in the implementation of clinical governance. The successful candidate will thrive in a busy work environment, with the ability to manage respond and prioritise competing requests in a calm and efficient manner. You will take pride in maintaining high work standards and maintaining accuracy, and commitment to achieving positive outcomes for mental health consumers. On site supervision and specialist training will be provided to support professional development. A merit pool may be created from this recruitment process and remain valid for 12 months.
