Summary The Psychologist serves a critical function in the TCCNY organization, providing services to multiple programs including our BH and RTF Divisions. As a member of an interdisciplinary team, the psychologist assesses cognitive and neurological needs while also serving as the primary consultant for treatment teams to better understand effective abilities and strategies for clients in different developmental stages and with divergent needs. Essential Functions: Administers and reviews cognitive and neurodevelopmental assessments/batteries detailed in psychological evaluations, providing recommendations in treatment and resources needed to ensure success in treatment, education/employment Provides consultations, group supervisions and trainings to staff throughout TCCNY particularly regarding areas of development and modifications of treatment for clients with neurodivergent needs Provides individual and group psychotherapy, documenting all treatment in the Electronic Health Record following all city, state and federal regulatory and compliance guidelines Functions as part of an interdisciplinary team to design and implement a treatment plan that addresses the client’s needs with consideration for his/her developmental stage and abilities Establishes and enhances cross collaborative efforts and partnerships with both internal and external organizational partners Provides support and consult to families/caregivers/systems regarding youth specific strategies relative to their developmental/neurological needs to ensure success upon return to the community Supervisory Responsibilities: None Minimum Qualifications: Ph.D. or Psy.D., with N.Y.S. certification 2+ years’ experience in the evaluation and treatment of adolescents to young adults with serious emotional disabilities. 2+ years' experience in working with clients with and IDD/ASD needs Trained and experienced in administering and interpreting psychological, cognitive and neurodevelopmental assessments/batteries Preferred Qualification: Specialized training in neuropsychology Experience in working with clients with co-occurring mental health/substance use
