PSYCHOLOGIST

  • Hybrid or in-person with Lifemark Physiotherapy Lake Beaumaris (15379 Castledowns Road, Edmonton, AB - Suite 201 Edmonton, AB)
  • Fee-for-service
  • Independent Contractor @ minimum 12 hrs/week

Schedule in-clinic can be flexible within the following hours, with the ability to work outside of these times from your home office:

  • Monday: 3:50pm-8pm
  • Tuesday: 3:50pm-8pm
  • Friday: 8am-5pm
  • Saturday: 8am-2pm

Lifemark Physiotherapy Lake Beaumaris is seeking a clinical psychologist to join our interdisciplinary team of health providers. We deliver comprehensive rehabilitation services to the Edmonton area, including physical, vestibular, pediatric, psychosocial, and vocational rehabilitation. Psychologists at Lifemark also enjoy serving the needs of clients on work-related disability with a focus on occupational rehabilitation.

Our clinic offers a wide range of services, including:

  • Mental health services
  • Physiotherapy
  • Manual therapy
  • Spinal manipulation
  • Massage therapy
  • Chiropractic
  • Acupuncture
  • Intramuscular stimulation (IMS)
  • Shockwave therapy
  • Therapeutic exercise for pain relief
  • Vestibular therapy for balance and dizziness disorders
  • Pelvic floor physiotherapy for incontinence and pelvic pain
  • Treatment for orthopedical and sport injuries
  • Pediatric physiotherapy

We are funded by private Extended Health Benefit plans, Motor Vehicle Insurance, Long-Term Disability, Workers Compensation Board, and Military and Veterans Affairs.

EDUCATION AND LICENSURE

  • Master’s Degree or Ph.D. in Psychology from an accredited university
  • Current registration in good standing with the College of Alberta Psychologists (competency with adult populations; clinical (asset: counselling psychology, health/rehabilitation psychology, neuropsychology)
  • Individual professional liability insurance required at time of employment

APPLIED EXPERIENCE

  • Conducting psychological assessments with adults and children for various goals, including treatment planning
  • Providing various evidence-based treatments grounded in cognitive-behavioral approaches
  • Developing and evaluating mental health programs is considered an asset
  • Working in interdisciplinary teams and with third party payers is considered an asset
  • Utilizing telehealth/virtual care methods is considered an asset

ADDITIONAL ABILITIES

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to work both autonomously and as part of interdisciplinary teams
  • Efficient with required clinical documentation
  • Able to manage a diverse caseload within dynamic work setting
  • Demonstrated work ethics, integrity, reliability, maturity, and flexibility
