THE OPPORTUNITY

We are seeking Grade 2 Psychologists with experience in assessment and treatment of mental health disorders, to provide both individual and group-based therapeutic intervention across inpatient and outpatient settings.

Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Facilitating evidence-based group and individual intervention, within inpatient and outpatient settings, across our Adult Psychiatric, Older Persons and Early Parenting Units/Programs
  • Delivering therapeutic services to patients with a broad range of psychopathology, including psychoeducation and skills-based sessions
  • Possessing strong risk assessment and safety planning skills
  • Working collaboratively with admitting psychiatrists, other allied health clinicians and nursing staff
  • Attending multidisciplinary team meetings and represent the psychology discipline as needed
  • Possessing strong verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently and effectively
  • Participating in the development and review of programs as necessary

TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE YOU SHOULD POSSESS:

  • Current registration with AHPRA
  • Appropriate recognised qualifications in Psychology (i.e., Masters, DPsych or PhD)
  • Experience in delivering a wide range of therapeutic modalities
  • Experience in group facilitation
  • Excellent organisation, time management and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work autonomously
  • Ability to work as part of a high functioning, multidisciplinary team
  • Current Working with Children Check
  • Full vaccination against COVI9 19 and Influenza
