Your role at St John of God Health Care Due the high demand of services we are inviting applications from registered Psychologists to commence within out Allied Health Department on a permanent ongoing basis. This current role will provide you with a rich opportunity to work alongside an experienced team, as well as supported opportunities for clinical development working within the trauma field. We are looking to expand our current trauma team to meet the increasing demand on our services. You will also have the opportunity to work in our programs, such as STAIR, TRP, Anxiety for PTSD, RO-DBT, Schema Therapy, Anger Management, Civilian Trauma programs, Drug and Alcohol, DBT- applied to complex PTSD as well as conducting comprehensive Assessments. There are a multitude of opportunities to work across both inpatient and outpatient programs. This is an ideal opportunity to commence in a collaborative and professional multi-disciplinary team committed to ensuring patient centred care in order to achieve and sustain optimal patient outcomes. The Position Provides individualised and group clinical care based on professional training reflecting current ethical clinical practice as required. Provides comprehensive assessment and care planning monitoring client progress adjusting treatment accordingly. Evaluates clinical outcomes and participates in research activities as required. Liaise with all staff to promote effective communication including verbal and written feedback to referring Doctor. Familiar and complies with legal, ethical responsibilities to patients, visitors and staff. Maintains confidentiality and an appropriate professional relationship with staff and patients. You will hold a tertiary qualification of Psychology with registration as a Psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia, with experience/ability to provide group programs and individual therapy to child, adolescent and adult patients/clients presenting with a myriad of concerns. To be successful, you will possess high-level written and oral communication skills, have the ability to undertake quality improvement activities, and be knowledgeable of research and evidence-based practice methodologies. Responsibilities
