OVERVIEW

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behavioural Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in patient care, particularly in managing behaviours associated with various conditions. This role requires a proactive approach to support individuals in achieving their personal goals while ensuring their safety and well-being. The Behavioural Specialist will work closely with service users, families, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement effective behaviour management strategies.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Relevant qualification in PBS
  • Strong understanding of PBS principles and behavioural assessment tools
  • Previous experience in a similar role or relevant field is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of care practices and behaviour management techniques.
  • Experience of working with challenging behaviour is preferable
  • Certification in First Aid is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with service users, families, and team members.
  • Ability to drive to various locations as required for patient visits or meetings.
  • Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct assessments to identify individual behavioural needs and develop tailored care plans.
  • Implement behaviour management techniques to promote positive behaviours and reduce challenging behaviours.
  • Provide direct service user care, including assistance with daily living activities.
  • Monitor service user progress and adjust care plans as necessary based on observed behaviours and feedback.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including nurses, therapists, and social workers, to ensure comprehensive care.
