INTRODUCTION

The Department of Health Services (DHS), Wisconsin Resource Center (WRC) is recruiting to fill a Psychology Clinical Coordinator vacancy.
This position will primarily work Monday through Friday, 7:45 am to 4:30 pm. Some nights and weekends may be required.

POSITION SUMMARY

As the Psychology Clinical Coordinator, you will be responsible for the direction and supervision of designated staff within WRC’s Psychology Department. This oversight is accomplished in accordance with administrative priorities as determined by the WRC Director and clinical priorities as determined by the Clinical Director. These priorities reflect WRC’s mission to provide services that meet the needs of referral sources and community partners. You will also be responsible for the development, administration, supervision and coordination of certain specialized care programs at WRC, including trauma treatment and the Dialectic Behavior Therapy program. You will co-supervise the unit-assigned Psychological Associates. In addition, you will:

  • Oversee the development of the Psychologist-On-Call schedule.
  • Coordinate unit coverage service needs as they arise due to extended absences or position vacancies.
  • Monitor documentation completion, such as that associated with admissions and observation/restraint placements, to ensure timeliness and adherence to professional standards.
  • Provide clinical direction as needed to WRC staff involved in the admissions process and the Treat to Competency program.
  • Serves as a member of the WRC Executive Management Team.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimally qualified applicants will have all of the following:

  • Experience working in a psychiatric care or secure facility with services for inmates or patients with behavior disorders, mental illness or developmental disabilities.
  • Experience serving in a lead worker or supervisory role (e.g., prioritizing initiatives and work assignments, providing coaching, training, or guidance, managing staff performance, making hiring and termination decisions, etc.).
  • Experience working within a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Experience developing interventions for treatment resistant individuals.

Well-qualified applicants will also have one or more of the following:

  • Experience developing, facilitating or overseeing mental health treatment programs.
  • Experience providing professional, clinical supervision to either non-licensed or licensed staff, mental health staff, students or interns.
  • Master’s degree in psychology or related field.
