PSYCHOLOGY GRADUATE TEACHING ASSISTANTS – SEN SCHOOLS IN COLCHESTER

Location: Colchester
Job Type: Full-time, Monday – Friday
Salary: £480 – £520 per week (term-time only)
Start Date: September 2025 – July 2026 (full academic year)
Are you a Psychology graduate looking to gain practical experience in Primary and Secondary SEN schools? This is a fantastic opportunity for aspiring teachers, educational psychologists, counsellors, therapists, and speech & language therapists to develop essential skills in a supportive school-based setting.

• Support class teachers in delivering lessons and helping students in the classroom
• Provide 1:1 and small group interventions for students with SEN
• Assist students with an EHCP (Education, Health, and Care Plan)
• Offer pastoral care, ensuring students feel supported and safe
• Collaborate with SEN teams and external professionals to assess and address students’ needs
• Plan and deliver tailored interventions for students with Autism, ADHD, and other learning difficulties
• Support students with complex physical disabilities and challenging behaviour
