IXL Learning, developer of personalized learning products used by millions of people globally, is seeking a psychometrician to oversee the technical quality of IXL’s specialized assessments. In this role, you’ll collaborate with curriculum designers, research scientists, and product managers to create, maintain, and improve student assessments. Additionally, you’ll play a key role in advancing IXL’s assessment strategy, as well as conducting and publishing analyses to ensure fair, accurate, and equitable assessment experiences for all learners. #LI-RD1
This is a full-time position in our Raleigh, NC area office. The work schedule for this role is Monday-Friday in the office with the option to work from home one day per week.

Responsibilities
  • Develop modern, widely used, computer-adaptive tests for K–12 education, including universal screening and diagnostic assessments for math and ELA
  • Conduct classical and IRT analyses of test data, including item calibration, standard-setting, scoring, scaling, equating, score reporting, and quality assurance analyses
  • Perform reliability and validity analyses and collaborate with research scientists to document development processes and create technical reports
  • Collaborate with content experts to create and curate item pools
