Description An ABA Psychometrist specializing in autism and working with children aged 6 and under is responsible for conducting comprehensive assessments, administering standardized tests, and gathering behavioral data to assist in the development of individualized ABA intervention plans for children with autism. They have a deep understanding of early childhood development and autism. Responsibilities: Assessment and Evaluation: Administer and score standardized assessments designed to assess cognitive, language, adaptive, social, and behavioral functioning in young children with autism. Behavioral Observation: Conduct direct observations of children to collect data on behavior patterns, triggers, and responses. Family Collaboration: Collaborate with families to gather information about a child's developmental history, strengths, and challenges, ensuring a holistic understanding of the child's needs. Data Collection and Analysis: Collect and analyze data systematically to identify behavior patterns and assess the child's skills and abilities. Report Writing: Prepare detailed assessment reports summarizing test results, behavioral observations, and recommendations for ABA interventions. Continuing Education: Stay up to date on the latest research, assessments, and interventions related to autism and early childhood development. Requirements Bachelor's or master's degree in psychology, special education, or a related field. 1 year of psychometry experience 1 year of ASD testing experience Familiarity with standardized assessments commonly used in early childhood ABA and autism assessment, such as the Vineland Adaptive Behavior Scales and the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule (ADOS). Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for working with children and their families. Attention to detail and accuracy in assessment administration and data collection. Ethical and professional conduct, adhering to relevant codes of ethics and confidentiality guidelines.
