Description
The Psychometrist will provide support to Neuropsychologists through administration and scoring of neurocognitive, academic and psychological tests for patients primarily located at the Regional Rehabilitation Centre. Duties include managing the patient database and data analysis using an excel spread sheet. Review and summarize patient’s medical chart. Conduct clinical interview with patient prior to testing, preparation of test assessment, score all assessment and prepare behavioural observations. The Psychometrist liaises with other allied health professionals to coordinate services and provide recommendation for additional treatment The Psychometrist will provide training to staff on administration of screening measures as well as be involved in the clinical training of Neuropsychology Residents. 1. Baccalaureate of Psychology Degree 2. Master's Degree in Psychology preferred 3. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills 4. Experience in psychological and neurocognitive test administration and scoring for teen and adults 5. Demonstrate ability to work in both process and battery approaches to assessment 6. Demonstrate ability to closely observe and document test-related behaviours 7. Demonstrates the ability to proficiently review and summaries medical documents in a written format for Neuropsychologist 8. Experience navigating and preparing Excel spreadsheets 9. Demonstrate ability to work with adults have cognitive and behavioural challenges 10. Demonstrate computer database management skills 11. Research skills are an asset
